Make a day of it in the Australian Botanic Garden, bring a BBQ and a pop-up shelter then sit back and relax surrounded by the unique beauty of our native plantings.

Bottlebrush Garden Picnic Shelter 1 is the first shelter you will see on your right-hand side as you approach the Bottlebrush Garden.

Hire includes the shelter only (the nearby BBQs do not form part of the hire and must be shared with other visitors) and as part of the hire you can bring in:

  • Your own gas BBQ
  • One 6m x 3m pop-up shade structure for use over picnic rugs

For an additional fee, you can also:

  • Have a caterer drop off food only
  • Bring in a children's entertainer ie face painter, clown etc
  • Engage a commercial photographer
