Celebrate the achievements of people living with Down Syndrome.
Step UP! for Down Syndrome NSW is an annual event held in the beautiful setting of The Domain Sydney. This heartwarming and inclusive gathering brings together individuals, families, and communities to raise awareness and support for people with Down Syndrome. The event is held in celebration of Down Syndrome Awareness Month.
The Domain Sydney provides a picturesque backdrop for Step UP!. Participants embark on a joyful 2km walk through the gardens, taking in the stunning scenery while surrounded by the love and support of their families, friends, and fellow participants. After the walk participants can enjoy food, drinks, performances, kids fun activities, and market stalls with a special surprise visit from everyone’s favourite children's character & some celebrity friends.
Fun to be experienced on the day:
• Joyful 2km walk around the Royal Botanic Garden Sydney
• Warm up and cool down session run by WeFlex
• Surprise visit from every child's favourite character
• Surprise visit & photo opportunity from some of Down Syndrome NSW celebrity friends
• Performances & music throughout the day
• Cooking Demonstration by Fuzz Ali - former My Kitchen Rules contestant
• Food and coffee stall including crepes, paella and Spanish sandwiches
• Children's sports & games by Leap Frog
• Craft activities run by Bunnings NSW/ACT
• Face painting
• Market stalls including Li'l Industries, DSNSW merchandise, Blue Wren Collection and CocoPearl Candles
